Being the founder and CEO of a business is a bit like being a parent. Over the years you watch the family grow. You take enormous pride in their achievements. And then comes the day when the business is grown up. Ready to take the future into its own hands. Today is that day, and I am proud to announce that Syed Kazmi will step into the role of CEO.
Thanks to his efforts we remain relevant to our clients and continue to add value in areas such as Database technologies, Cloud computing, Middleware, Bi + Data engineering among many others.
He also embraces the values that set us apart in a competitive market. Our relentless focus on driving better outcomes for our clients is second to none. Understanding the customer and their goals is the value that drives NCS’s growth. Syed gets that more than anyone.
Most of all he brings a rare combination of intelligence and kindness to the role. He works tirelessly to support his colleagues and is a true believer in what we have achieved and what we can still do. He has an emotional connection with the business and its clients which enables him to inspire others and help them realise their potential.
On many occasions, I’ve watched with pride as he led his teams and instilled confidence even at moments of enormous pressure. I’ve seen him mentor clients facing difficult challenges, guiding them through complex decisions and deployments. From my own side, I’ve also benefited from his wisdom in recent years, especially when he stepped into the CTO and COO roles.
I look forward to my new role as chairman. But more importantly, I know you will welcome the appointment of our new CEO and the leadership he brings to the business. Syed is now in the driving seat and I am excited to see him steer the NCS team—and our clients—towards further success.
